Today, Taylor joins us again to this time talk about domestic violence (DV). Taylor and Reah discuss what DV is, how it is stigmatized, what the signs are as someone experiencing DV as well as someone on the outside as a support system. They also cover how support persons can help, support, and be there to listen. It is important to understand when you are a victim of domestic violence and how you can get help. There is a heteronormative narrative within DV that stigmatizes DV as men abusing women, negating the fact that members of the LGBTQ+ community are often victims as well, which deserves attention to assist in members receiving support and acknowledgement.
